Offer Update

OK. Their offer has increased by another $15K. Getting closer but not quite there yet.

Nothing else is new. We've both got a slight case of a bug that is going around so we're skipping a farewell party for a co-worker tonight. The company Christmas party is tomorrow night so we're saving our energy for that.

New Template

I found this great new template and decided to give it a try. Any opinions?

The new and improved offer?

Well, the people came back with a revised offer. Now they're offering $49,500 less than asking price. We came back and told them that we'll offer to sell them the house for $4,500 less than asking price.
We probably won't hear back from them, but it doesn't matter. When the time is right, a good offer will come through.

You're offering how much?

We've finally received the first offer on our house. Unfortunately, it is $59,500 less than our current asking price. We've kindly told them, through our agent, "Thanks, but come back to us when you're serious."
Long drive back from NC, via Woodstock. 13 hours on the road, but at least 2 1/2 hours were at rest stops or at our place in Woodstock.

Almost Heaven...

NO, not West Virginia where my daughter went to schoo. I'm talking about cooking all day for my family. Today I prepared a nice Pho broth (for tomorrow), a mignonette sauce for oysters on the half shell, a nice beef and carrot accompaniement to pan seared scallops, spinach, and more for my family. It was great to prepare food again. Usually I'm too tired after getting home from work (the accounting job) to cook a great meal. Fortunately, during this holiday week I have time.
I love to cook for people.

Visiting in NC

We drove down to NC yesterday to visit with the youngsters. No news on the house.
We hope that everyone has a happy Thanksgiving.

Hope is dwindling

Well, we haven't heard back from the RE agent which isn't a good sign. I don't expect the house to sell until April or May at this time. That means the restaurant probably won't get going until August or September. Let' see... hopefully I'm wrong.

Hope?!?

Well, our real estate agent called today and said that another person is very interested in the house. They asked a few questions like what was our electricity usage during the past year and how much oil did we use to heat the house this year, and why is the water heater leaking so much into the sump pump hole? Well, I called the family plumber and found out that I needed to replace the pressure relief valve. I got home, went to my second residence (Home Depot) and purchased a new pressure relieft valve for $8.97 plus tax. I got home and replaced the valve within 10 minutes. No more drip!!! Thanks AC!. (No, not you Adeleena, nor you Aimeeeeeee nor you Annnnnneeeeeetttttte.) Thank you, original AC!
Let's see how it goes and if this prospect turns into a real offer.

Picking up

Well, we're up to 3 lookers so far this weekend (if you include yesterday). The wife and I both have to work today and tomorrow because financial reports are due out on Tuesday. Next weekend we're heading down south to NC to visit our granddaughter and her parents. Also, we'll be picking up our poochies from Nate who has been graciously watching them since August.

Only 2 lookers this weekend

Yes, we only had 2 groups of people look at the house this weekend. It could be worse... like it was last week. Only 1 looker then.
Keep you fingers crossed.
