Equipment Purchases

I've started scanning eBay for used equipment for the restaurant. I'm primarily looking for name brand restaurant goods... Vulcan or Blodgett for ovens and ranges, Hobart for mixers, Robo Coup for food processors and such.
I've just purchased successfully bid on a Vulcan gas convection oven. I've got to have it delivered to Bill's barn until I can get the bulk of the renovations done.
In the mean time, I'm in the DC areas this Christmas weekend to visit friends and family. Next week I've got to resume packing at home.

Home Inspection

The buyers conducted the home inspection today. All went very well. Only two minor issues that need to be resolved. The first is that I need to replace a flexible heating duct that was torn at some distant point in the past. The second is that they would like to have th chimney cleaned before the closing date. I should be able to take care both of these issues with any problems.

Now I can start worrying about getting the restaurant opened. The first steps will include getting the interior of the existing building demolished and getting a new water line installed.

Will update this again in a few days.

Home Inspection On Saturday

The purchasers of our house have scheduled a home inspection for tomorrow morning at 10:00. We're getting a lot of snow here today, so I'm not sure how they'll check the roof. I'm staying home today just to do a few minor fixes. Better now than after the inspection.

We have a deal

It looks like we have a deal. They've given us an offer that was the absolute bottom line for us. We were hoping for something a little more, but ...
Now we have to think about packing, moving and so forth...
Probably will post again tonight.

All's Quiet on the Offer Front

Haven't heard back from the potential buyers yet, which is not upsetting. I suspect that they are going to be very cheap and will try to ask for every imperfection in the house to be fixed if they do make an offer. The made their fourth visit to the house yesterday for another look.
We also had 3 other lookers this weekend so the market isn't completely dead.
First snow of the year today! 1 1/2 inches here in lovely Westchester.
